Prey Lang communities make a living off of the “forest” to support their family. Its natural resources have been continually demolished for decades. It is directly and seriously affecting the forest resources, the environment, livelihoods, and the local community members in Preah Vihear, Kompong Thom, Kratie, and Steung Treng.
Because of the destruction of Prey Lang’s resources and the bad effects that result, the community people who live in the area of Prey Lang have decided to form “Prey Lang Communities” in their aim to maintain and preserve the forest.
In this voluntary mission the Prey Lang community activists are in need of some skills such as “conflict resolution and conflict transformation” to peacefully respond to the current emerging confrontation with the relevant parties.
Peace Bridges Organization starts its first casino online semester of 2015 by offering “Conflict Resolution and transformation” training to Prey Lang communities in order to stimulate and form a peaceful movement and network that has capacity to manage and resolve conflict effectively and sustainably at the individual, family, and community levels.
