Chair of PBO board – Sim Sambath

11221041_614821958654424_1329401133_oMr. Sim Sambath joined the CORD Cambodia team in 2008. As a Capacity Development Advisor he spearhead’s CORD’s work by supporting our partners in assessing the capacity needs, developing their capacity plans and providing capacity development support through mentoring, coaching and training workshops. Sambath is a passionate change agent who believes that peace building, conflict sensitivity and capacity development are vital learning agendas for communities in Cambodia and that education is the key to empowering communities to become self-sustainable. Growing up in a refugee camp on the border of Thailand gave Sambath an early appreciation of the need for social and economic development.

With a big friendly smile and warm nature about him, Sambath works with partners to provide training on community transformational development, project design and management and organizational development with his lens focused on gender perspectives, a human rights based approach, people centered approach whilst using conflict resolution/non-violence communication.In 2009 Sambath completed a Master in Rural Development and Project Development and Management, which would explain why he is very passionate about ensuring partners consider climate change when developing programs. In his free time Sambath makes sure to exercise in his free time as it makes him ‘feel really good’.

Mr. Tep Samnang, Former Field Ministry, Academic Dean and Principal of Phnom Penh Bible School, is current Executive Director of EFC. I had worked in designing the theological curriculum and managing theological school for almost 5 years. I have worked in the areas of human resource, budget planning, policy analysis, organizational development and fund raising. I holds a Master’s degree in Theology and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Management. I can contribute my knowledge and advice to the management of PBO and the direction of PBO. I have a passion in the training of PBO which help all people to have good communication and constructive conflict resolution.
